How the finder works
Biweekly pay repeats every 14 days, so one known payday fixes every other payday forever: add or subtract 14 days. The finder walks your schedule across the year you pick and counts paydays per month. Because a year is 52 weeks plus one or two days, 26 paychecks have to fit into 12 months, so two months always get a third check. Roughly every 11 years the extra day lines up with your payday and you get 27.
Payroll systems pay early when a payday lands on a weekend or bank holiday. With "move to previous business day" on, a payday on New Year's Day or Christmas shifts to the business day before, which can move a check into the previous month or even the previous year. That is why some sites say January 2027 has 3 Friday paychecks and others say it doesn't.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know which biweekly cycle I am on?
Look at any recent pay stub date and enter it. There are only two cycles for each weekday (the 1st and 2nd week of the year), and any single payday tells the finder which one you are on.
Why does my count say 27?
Some years have 27 paydays on your weekday, for example Friday paydays starting January 2, 2026 (once the January 1, 2027 holiday check is paid on December 31, 2026). If you are salaried, ask payroll whether your salary is divided by 26 or 27.
Does this work for weekly pay?
No. Weekly pay has four or five checks a month. This finder is for every-other-week (biweekly) pay.
